Etsy Treasury Week!

It has been a very good week for Ribbons and Curls in the Etsy Treasury feature.  For those of you not familiar with this feature you should really go check it out here.  It is a very cool feature that buyers and sellers can both use to show the world a collection of some of his/her favorite items on etsy.  With Valentine’s Day around the corner some fantastic treasuries are being created.  Here are a few we have been featured in.

Craft Wars

4 Jan

I decided to enter a little contest called Craft Wars.  It is a contest for crafters in the accessories field to showcase their talents.  I think it is going to be a lot of fun.  The theme for this month is Valentine’s Day, so I entered my fantastic tutu and over-the-top bow set.  There will also be a Facebook comment sale on the items that are featured in the contest after voting concludes.

Voting runs on their blog January 10-13.  Everyone go vote for me!!  In the meantime go check it out!  If you are a fellow crafter you still have time to enter-all entries are due Jan. 9.

It’s been a while!

With all of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season the Ribbons and Curls blog has been horribly neglected!  Well, let’s start the new year off right with some beautiful items!!  Here are a few new things I have for Valentine’s Day.

I absolutely love these plastic headbands wrapped in grosgrain ribbon.  This is my favorite from the Amelia headband line in red with a red damask twisted boutique bow and red jeweled center.

Here is another ribbon wrapped headband with coordinating interchangeable bows.  So many looks make for a great value!

What should you get your little sweetie for Valentine’s Day this year?  A gorgeous tutu set of course!  This is a classic tutu in red, pink, and white with a matching stripe bow, over-the-top bow, and adorable pink heart leggings.  It doesn’t get any cuter than this!!

I couldn’t go without a close up of that huge bow!  It starts with a 4″ twisted boutique base bow in red, pink, and white stripes, next comes a set of ribbon spikes in coordinating colors and prints, topped off with a double layer twisted boutique bow in heart print with a pink inside layer.  Don’t forget about the red saddle stitch center knot and teeny tiny side accent bows with pink rhinestone centers!

To purchase these items visit our etsy shop or visit our Facebook page.  Don’t forget to check out Eden Photography too!  They took the beautiful photos of our over-the-top tutu set!

A Little Bit of Fall for Y’all!

5 Nov

My two favorite times of the year are, you guessed it, Halloween and Christmas.  I know…hard to believe, right?  I’m usually a down to earth every day kind of gal, but I love to go all out every now and then.  What better time to do that than my two favorite holidays!

Well, this post isn’t actually about Halloween or Christmas.  Sorry!  I couldn’t possibly go through the season without saying something about fall!  Falling leaves, crisp air, apple cider.  Here are a couple of adorable little clippies to help you and your little one celebrate such a wonderful and often over looked time of year.

You can purchase this adorable pumpkin and turkey clippy set in my etsy shop RibbonsCurlsBowtique.

Don’t forget to come see us at the Krafting for Keegan event on Saturday, Novemer 13.  It is at First Southern Baptist Church, 25 Cullen Ave., Evansville, IN.  To learn more about Baby Keegan Chupp and his condition go to .
