It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas…

28 Oct

…at least in my living room.  I’m trying to prepare for my next craft fair at Boonville High School this Sat. (Oct. 30).  Here’s a little sneak peek.

I made tons of pony-o streamers to match local school colors.  These actually match the BHS colors as well as other local favorites like Purdue!

This is a stacked twisted boutique bow with a red and white damask bow on top of a Christmas green bow.  It is attached to a skinny stretch headband.  I actually have a gorgeous green tutu with a matching bow to make a complete set!

I saved my two favorites for last.  Here are red and green twisted boutique bows with candy cane striped centers and a felt gingerbread man clippy.  The centers on these bows are flat so that you can wear alone or slip your favorite clippy in for a different look.  I just love this little man!!!

Last but not least is a split tails bow in classic red plaid with a red pyramid center.  I love this one so much because any age can wear it and it will never go out of style!

Come out to BHS in Boonville, IN to see all of this and so much more!  Don’t worry…I’ll have Halloween and fall items along with all of your favorites too.

Don’t forget there is a model search going on right now for all of our local fans too!!  Get all of the details here!

Holiday Model Search 2010

24 Oct

With Halloween already here and almost gone I have started thinking about the rest of the holiday season.  I have decided to kick it off with a local Holiday Model Search.  Models of all ages are welcome to enter.  Winners will win great stuff from Ribbons and Curls as well as a FREE mini session from Eden Photography modeling fantastic items with fall and winter in mind!  Check it all out on our Facebook page and Like us while you’re there!

I’ve also been busy, busy, busy working on things for my sister-in-law’s baby shower.  My little niece couldn’t possibly come into this world without lots of hair bows.  You’ve already seen her first..the John Deere fabric flower

A girl’s gotta’ accessorize whether she actually has hair or not!  The shower is tomorrow so I think it’s safe to post a few pics now.

Don’t forget to enter you or your child in the model search if you are close by!  I hope you like everything and if you’d like to place an order go to our etsy shop or send an email to ribbonsandcurlsbowtique@hotmail.com.

I Think I’m Obsessed with Candy Corn!

11 Oct

So…we’ve already decided that I completely adore Halloween!  I think my obsession for this year is candy corn!  Last year it was vampires, so I’m a little more on the G rated side this year at least!!  Here is another adorable candy corn outfit I’ve made and I would love to see on your sweet little one.

This set is SO cute!!  It includes a tutu with yellow underlayer and orange top layer with a white bow, orange leggings with handmade felt candy corn detail at the bottom of both legs, and an orange twisted boutique bow with a matching felt candy corn center attached to a white skinny stretch headband.  The tutu and leggings are a size NB-6m and the headband is one size fits all.  This set is ready to ship so click here to purchase!

New Harmony Flea Market

4 Oct

I just wanted to share a few pics of our set up at the New Harmony Business Associates Flea Market this past Saturday.  It started out as a great day.  Beautiful weather, just a slight chill in the air, then…a monsoon!  Maybe not a monsoon, but lots of heavy rain and we didn’t have a tent!  Needless to say we had to pack up at about 11:00 a.m. because there was no end in sight.  Thanks to all who came out to see us and we are so sorry to those who didn’t get to see us!
